Experience The Benefits Of Quality Red Light Beds

  • Red light beds deliver full-body red and near infrared light therapy in a single, non-invasive session.
  • Different bed, panel and portable systems suit different spaces, routines and treatment goals.
  • Photobiomodulation uses specific light wavelengths to support cellular energy production, recovery and skin health.
  • Direct skin exposure and recommended session times allow red and near infrared light to reach the target areas effectively.
  • ARTG-listed devices backed by practical guidance provide greater confidence than products built around marketing claims.

Red light beds offer a unique approach to wellness, using red and near infrared (NIR) light for comprehensive coverage and recovery support.

The demand for infrared bed options stems from growing awareness of the importance of these light frequencies in our daily routines. These beds seamlessly integrate into wellness spaces and homes, offering people a science-backed method to support their recovery and skin health.

Therapy Lights Australia (TLA) provides a wide range of advanced light therapy equipment, including beds and pods, full-body LED panel options and more.

Enjoy broader light therapy coverage in your routine.

Small panels and targeted devices serve their niche, but red light beds offer a more comprehensive light therapy experience.

These beds envelop your body in red and NIR wavelengths, enhancing routines focused on recovery, skin health, collagen production and anti-inflammation. The larger setup allows for a holistic approach, addressing wider body areas in a seamless session.

Healthcare light technology works through a process known as photobiomodulation (PBM).

This natural mechanism kicks into action with specific light wavelengths, impacting adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a critical component of cellular energy production. As cells absorb this energy during partial or full-body red light therapy, it supports multiple physiological functions, from regenerating skin cells to reducing inflammatory responses, offering tangible benefits across various aspects of wellness.

We help bring back traditional light exposure.

Your body naturally receives red and NIR light from the first rays of morning sunlight to the soft glow of late afternoon.

Unfortunately, modern indoor living complicates this exposure when work and artificial lighting keep you inside. This shift to a more indoor lifestyle can mean missing out on these vital wavelengths that were once a fundamental aspect of daily life.

Red light beds bridge this exposure gap, letting you bring beneficial wavelengths indoors, independent of sunlight or outdoor access.

Our red light beds emit red and NIR wavelengths without ultraviolet (UV) rays or electromagnetic fields, distinguishing them from traditional tanning beds and focusing on non-invasive light therapy.

Different red light beds suit different spaces and needs.

Choosing the right system, be it a medical-grade red light therapy panel or a full-body bed, starts with how and where you plan to use it. Each option supports different environments and user needs.

  • Full red light therapy bed: A full red light recovery bed, such as the TLA HP5 Blue & Red Light Therapy Pod, is suited to those who want the most enclosed and structured setup. It works well in spas, wellness studios, clinics and dedicated home recovery rooms where the unit can remain permanently installed as part of a purpose-built light therapy space.
  • Half red light therapy panel: A half-body panel, such as the Pro II 1000 6 Wavelength Red Near-Infrared LED Panel, provides broad coverage in a more open format. It suits users who prefer less enclosure and businesses that want a professional light therapy system without committing an entire room to a bed-style unit. Premium clinical red light therapy panels also integrate well into gyms, clinics and studios where clients use them before or after recovery, training or wellness sessions.
  • Portable red light therapy light: A portable unit, such as the Pro III 200 Red Blue Yellow NIR LED Light, offers flexibility. It is well-suited to home users who do not want a fixed installation, as well as practitioners who need to move the device between treatment rooms, recovery spaces or different locations.

Find the right red light bed for you.

Jonathon Partridge, the force behind TLA, faced a challenge. He couldn’t find reliable clinical light therapy devices in Australia.

Jonathon’s early industry collaborations revealed how shortcuts compromised price, quality and performance. These insights shaped his resolve to develop and sell his own line of photobiomodulation equipment. Rejecting industry shortcuts, he committed to creating products that held up to scrutiny, prioritising quality and effectiveness.

That journey shaped every reliable device we build today at TLA, whether you’re looking for a red light therapy pod for recovery or a more portable option.

We also supply whole-body light therapy devices that are listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). ARTG listing means the devices have met the applicable regulatory requirements for safety, performance and efficacy.

Our red light bed range sits within our wider collection.

Beyond full-body red light beds, we offer smaller machines, masks, portable options and more. You’ll even find pads tailored for specific areas, animal-friendly devices and panels that fit sauna setups.

Since launching our brand, we have sold more than 100,000 units globally while building one of the world’s most extensive ranges of red and NIR light therapy devices.

Furthermore, if there is an issue with your red or near infrared therapy bed, our returns process is designed to be clear, fair and easy to follow.

  • Hassle-free returns for damaged deliveries: If your ARTG-listed red light therapy bed arrives damaged, we will help you through the returns process to resolve the issue as smoothly as possible.
  • 30-day return postage coverage: If a fault is identified within the first 30 days, we will cover the return postage, provided the product remains unopened.
  • Fast replacement service: Where a replacement is required, we work to provide it promptly to minimise disruption and get you back up and running as quickly as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I use a pillow when I lie down on a red light bed?

You can use a pillow on a full-body light bed as long as it does not prevent red or NIR light from reaching the target area. Keep the light path clear to the target area throughout the session. Place the pillow under your head or neck only if those areas are not the focus of your red light bed therapy.

What should I wear when using a red light bed?

Wear as little as possible when using an LED therapy bed.

For the best results, use the device with direct skin exposure because red and near infrared light work best without clothing blocking the light. Dark, thick or tightly woven fabrics can absorb, reflect or scatter light.

Wear light-blocking goggles when targeting your face or if the light feels uncomfortable. Never stare directly into any infrared light.

Can I sleep on a red light bed?

No, you should not sleep on red light beds. Limit each target area to 10-minute sessions, with a maximum of 2 sessions per day. Current research suggests that shorter sessions provide the best opportunity to achieve the intended benefits of red light therapy.
