30⁰ & 60⁰ lense differences: A TLA at home red light therapy device comparison!

Thank you as always for keeping up to date with Therapy Lights Australia and our latest ‘At home red light therapy device comparison.’  You may have seen around the place, even within our product ranges, that some panels have 60⁰ secondary glass lenses and some have 30⁰ lenses. We wanted to make sure that the differences were clear and thus you can better understand why we do it!

There are 3 major differences between a 30⁰ & 60⁰  lense when it comes to an at home red light therapy device.

1. Size

You may have noticed a difference in the size of our  at home red light therapy devices.

For example:  LTE Pro 1500w half body red light therapy panels are much smaller than TLA Pro 1500w panels, yet they are both 1500w?

This is because the 30⁰  lenses in the LTE Pro products are smaller and thinner physically. This cuts down on outer shell costs and the physical size needed to create the LTE Pro range, making them more cost effective and easier to manoeuvre, without sacrificing much in terms of coverage.

2. At home red light therapy device beam angle:

This term refers to the secondary glass lenses that surround the LED diodes, commonly known as bulbs. Traditionally in our LTE and Pro ranges, we have used 60⁰ secondary glass lenses.

LTE Pro models use a 30⁰ secondary lens making the beam angle slimmer and more densely concentrated so that it can travel further before dispersing. This is why machines with 30⁰ lenses are often considered to be the most powerful. This does not really make these machines better or worse, and in reality the major advantage is that machines with thinner lenses can be used at further distances, reducing the risk of bump injuries or damage.

3. Shape

It is not uncommon for 30⁰ lenses to protrude outside of the shell of the machine. This looks a little strange when observed up close, however, exposing more of the lense outside of the shell increases the coverage of LTE Pro models, which is definitely worth them looking a little different.
